Gum Lift and Smile Makeover
This 59 year old woman presented with old porcelain fused to metal crowns. She didn’t like the look of her gum line showing when she smiled or the darkness at the top of her gums. Crown lengthening with osseous re-contouring was performed to lift her gum-line, and her old anterior PFM crowns were replaced with more esthetic full porcelain crowns. An implant was placed to replace tooth 14 and her occlusal vertical dimension was opened about 3 mm through careful restoration of her posterior teeth.
