Fixed Lower Implant Supported Bridgework/Fixed Upper Bridgework
This 73 year old man presented with many missing, heavily restored and broken down teeth. He was embarrassed with his smile and tired of removing his denture and having missing anterior teeth. He wanted to be able to eat the foods that he desired without having to remove a denture or worry about it falling out.
All the remaining lower teeth were removed and 8 implants were placed, attached to non-removable fixed porcelain bridgework.
For the maxillary arch the old crowns were removed and new porcelain crowns and bridges were placed. For the missing upper back teeth the patient opted to have a removable partial denture in order to avoid having extensive bone grafting. He is so happy with his lower implants that he is now considering having the sinus grafting and upper posterior implants placed.
